1 + 1 = 11

At least that is how Jason used to do math 2 years ago (of course, you can't really blame him, he was only 3). Now he gets it right.

It is also a palindrome (something that reads the same forward and backward). We are all probably familiar with palindromes we learned as kids:

Madam, I'm Adam.

A man. A plan. A canal. Panama.

It is also Sofia and my 11th wedding anniversary. Sometimes it seems so long ago and sometimes it just seems like yesterday.

Congrats! We just had our 27th in the summer and if it seemed like yesterday, man was that day a long time ago! We wonder where the last 15 years went as it seems we're frozen at about the same stage and age you two are. I still think I'm mid-30's like the palindrome of my age...53! (Well, without the health issues!)

MOI: I find time passing by quickly to be scary - although, this is a more modern phenomena. When I was younger, if I never worried about the time that seemed to pass by in a flash because and inexhaustible quantity of time lay before me. Now, that is not the case.

Thanks for the well wishes.

I am still not sure where my mental picture is. For a long time, my minds’ eye saw me in my mid-teens. I think I my introspective view of myself has finally aged to my late teens / early twenties
