"Shooting guns into the air is a common method for dealing with emotional situations, such as deals on shoes that are too good to be true."

I would happily tell you more, but the Associated Press would, in all likelihood, not be happy: Copyright 2006 Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed

Which makes me wonder if my title infringes too much?

You will just have to read the story yourself over here.

An excited crowd can be a force to be reckoned with, but maybe a water gun is more appropriate for breaking up the excitement. This is pathetically funny.

Someone in Texas was hit with a bullet that was fired in the air. It had traveled so far that when it finally came down, it grazed someone's arm at an outdoor wedding and they were not badly injured. I would have thought this was a hoax if I saw it on the web but it was footage on the news.

I shot a bullet into the air,
It fell to Earth I know not where.
I think the struck customer should have at least got a free pair of shoes out of it!!!

And good thing Turkey wasn't in The World Cup Soccer and lost!

I thought elbowing at garage sales was bad!!!

barbara: such irrational exhuberance is alien to me. Even the Italians driving around town waving their flags and honking their horns were incomprehensible to me.

lunafish: well, that bullet has to land somewhere.

MOI: I have this foolish expectation that people are orderly and polite and don't understand why people will push their way to the front instead or queuing up in an orderly fashion.
